"MyFamilyFinder" is a personal safety appwhichhelps users to track the current location of their children,friendsand family members without disturbing them. It also helpsin thecase of an emergency by sending an urgent SMS with thecurrentlocation details and map link to their configured ICE (InCase ofEmergency) contacts (usually parents and loved ones).This app helps in the following situations:• Parents who want to know their children’s current location.• Family member who want to capture their relative’scurrentlocation if and when needed.• Friends who want to identify their friend’s currentlocationwithout disturbing them.• In case of emergency, users can trigger an emergency alarmwhichsends the current location of the device via SMS to aconfiguredlist of ICE contacts.How it works:• You can configure up to five contacts either through yourcontactlist or manually.• Once a contact has been configured, a SMS text message is senttothe recipient informing them how to follow their family membersorfriends.• A long press in the configured contact items makes them anICEcontact.• Pressing the power button 4 times raises an emergency alarmwhichsends an emergency SMS to ICE contacts.The SMS will have the following details based on the GooglePlayservice.i) Emergency text – the default is “Emergency Alert.” It canbechanged in the app.ii) The user’s current location.iii) Map URL link to pinpoint the location in Google Maps.Tracking by sending a SMS:When the app receives a SMS with the ‘WRU’ or ‘wru’ message fromaconfigured contact (this need not be an ICE contact), itwillcapture the current location of the device and send the detailsina SMS back to the requester. The response SMS will havethefollowing details based on the Google Play service:i) Recognition of the user’s current location.iii) Map URL link to pinpoint the location in Google Maps.Note: The location details are entirely based on the GooglePlayservice so the app needs the following elements tobeinstalled/configured correctly on the mobile device:• Google Play service• Internet connection• Location services enabled (GPS and network provider)Please read the app Terms and Conditions carefully afterinstallingthis application.
